Common questions
How tall does a pool fence have to be in Dallas?
Residential pool barriers are required to be at least 48 inches tall measured from the outside grade, with no gaps a 4-inch sphere can pass through. We build to that spec by default and confirm the current requirement with your city before fabrication.
Does the gate have to be self-closing?
Yes. Any gate in the barrier has to be self-closing and self-latching, swing away from the pool, and have the release mounted high enough that a small child cannot reach it. That hardware is included in every pool quote.
Can you fence just the pool instead of the whole yard?
Yes, and it is often cheaper. A pool-only enclosure is a shorter run than a full perimeter and still satisfies the barrier requirement. We price both so you can compare.
Will the fence rust from pool chemicals?
We hot-dip or zinc-prime the steel and powder-coat it, which holds up far better around chlorine and constant sprinkler contact than a painted finish.
